Affordability NOW was created to bring the cost of living into local elections. We support candidates who will take a careful look at spending, push for a fair and transparent property-tax system and make decisions with taxpayers in mind.

This is not about cutting services people depend on. It is about setting priorities, watching where the money goes and expecting public agencies to do their jobs well.

Homeowners should not feel like they are being priced out of homes they already own. We support candidates who understand the property-tax system and will work for greater fairness, accuracy and transparency.

Housing costs
The people who work in Tarrant County should have a reasonable chance to live here. We support practical conversations about housing that consider homeowners, renters, neighborhoods and the people trying to buy their first home.

Accountability
Local boards and public agencies have real power over our daily lives. Their decisions should be made in the open, explained in plain language and subject to public scrutiny.
